US Shale Gas Output to Fall in April: EIA

NATGAS

US shale gas output is expected to decline by 167mmcf/d on the month to 100.452bcf/d in April, according to the EIA Drilling Productivity Report.

  • EIA has revised the March shale gas forecast up from 100.425bcf/d to 100.619bcf/d.
  • Monthly changes per region in mmcf/d are:
    • Appalachia -73 to 36.286 bcf/d
    • Permian +134 to 25.192 bcf/d
    • Haynesville -165 to 16.271 bcf/d
    • Eagle Ford -44 to 7.374 bcf/d
    • Anadarko -22 to 6.535 bcf/d
    • Niobrara -12 to 5.408 bcf/d
    • Bakken +15 to 3.386 bcf/d
