US Steady with Cold Weather Supporting Prices

US Natgas holding steady with cold weather still expected in the West and above normal in the Gulf Coast region.

    • US Natgas JAN 23 up 1.5% at 7.3$/mmbtu
  • The mixed weather forecasts are keeping lower 48 domestic consumption close to five year average levels at 80.7bcf/d today.
  • Dry gas production is today estimated at 100.2bcf/d compared to 101.9 over the last week.
  • Deliveries to US LNG export terminals are today down to 10.7bcf/d due to lower supply to Sabine Pass. Just over 2bcf/d export capacity is still missing due to the ongoing outage of Freeport LNG with partial operations not expected back until mid December and 80% of capacity potentially available in early January.
  • Exports to Mexico have recovered up to 6.3bcf/d yesterday and 6.1bcf/d after dipping slightly lower of the weekend.
