US TSYS SUMMARY: US Treasuries traded sideways to lower for much of the Asian
session, however, as the London session opened Treasuries followed the Bunds
slightly higher and the 10Y Treasury note is currently trading at 2.397% 0.9bp
lower.
- The WSJ published a piece published on Saturday saying that it is likely that
President Trump will nominate Federal Reserve Governor Jerome Powell as his
choice to be the next Chairman of the US Federal Reserve.
- The day is fairly thin today in the US in terms of economic data releases. The
two items being released today are the personal income and spending figures that
are due to be released at 1230BST.
- The 2Y yield is trading at 1.584%, the 10Y yield at 2.397% and the 30Y at
2.913%. The curve has pivoted slightly with the 5Y and the 7Y outperforming
slightly.
