US TSYS
US TSYS: US Treasury futures have largely shrugged off the weakness seen in US
stocks, drifting slightly higher across the curve but trading in a tight range.
The 2s-10s curve is off its lows, trading at 34.37bps while the 10s-30s has
continued its steepening trend but is currently capped at its 50DMA.
- The Conference Board's consumer confidence data will be released today with
the spread of expectations and current conditions likely to impact the yield
curve. The 2s-10s spread has shown a very tight correlation with the current
confidence-expectations spread, which has reached its lowest spread since 2001,
indicating that the current solid economic growth picture is not expected to
continue.
