BOND SUMMARY
BOND SUMMARY: - US TSYs are trading in a tight range ahead of the FOMC meeting
later today. Current yield levels: 2-year 2.571%, 10-year 2.719%, 30-year
3.042%.
- The Mar-19 JGB future trades at 152.65 at the lower end of the morning range.
- The UK government managed to defeat five of the seven amendments tabled in
parliament yesterday. This will not usher in any more clarity on Brexit
outcomes. PM May is seeking to renegotiate part of the Withdrawal Agreement even
though Brussels has claimed this is not possible. Gilts initially opened
stronger but have since sold off with yields up around 2bps from the lows.
- Gilt yields have inched higher  with the 3-year underperforming the curve on
the day. There is modest curve flattening at the longer end with 2s30s narrowing
to 135.3bps from a high of 136.5bps.
- BTPs rallied across the curve following this morning's BTP/CCTeu auction with
yields near yesterday's close.
- Euro$ futures are up 0.5 ticks in whites and down 0.5-1.0 ticks in
greens/blues.
