DOLLAR-CANADA
DOLLAR-CANADA: USD/CAD deals at C$1.3294 in early Asia-Pac trade after advancing
almost 40 pips Tuesday.
- Oil prices gyrated but closed higher Tuesday, yet failed to support CAD, as
they still operate near recent multi-month lows. As a reminder, OPEC+ will meet
next week to discuss possible supply cuts.
- The pair was largely driven by broader USD strength yesterday.
- Initial resistance is located at yesterday's high of C$1.3328 and a break
above would open up the Jun 28 high at C$1.2252. Conversely, bears look to a
move through yesterday's lows of C$1.3236 before targeting the Nov 26 low at
C$1.3187.
- Canadian focus this week falls on domestic GDP figures due Friday.
