DOLLAR-CANADA: USD/CAD last trades at C$1.3200, 13 pips better off on the day,
as the broader risk-off theme, owing to tensions between India and Pakistan, as
well as fresh controversies around Huawei, weighed on the high beta FX space.
Elsewhere, WTI extended yesterday's losses and shed a further $0.30 overnight.
- Bulls continue to target the 21-DMA at C$1.3209 and a move through that level
would shift their focus to the 200-HMA at C$1.3217. Conversely, bears look for a
fall through the 100-HMA at C$1.3180, followed by the 200-DMA, located a further
20 pips below.
- Canadian CPI comes out on Wednesday, c/a balance is due Thursday, while Dec/Q4
GDP will hit on Friday.
