USD Firms Post Waller Headlines

FOREX

The USD has recouped earlier losses as comments from the Fed's Waller have crossed. The Governor notes that the Fed can take its time as it considers when to kick off the easing cycle. • The BBDXY was last near 12412.3, back to slightly positive for the session. The firmer USD has coincided with some softness in US Tsy futures, although overall moves have been modest.
  • AUD and NZD sit slightly lower, but overall moves are modest. AUD/USD last near 0.6555, NZD close to 0.6190. JPY is steady near 150.50, so slightly outperforming this recent dollar recovery.
