DOLLAR-IDR: USD/IDR has added 35 pips and last trades at IDR14,485, defying the
broader risk-on impetus. The move has taken the rate above its 50-DMA, which
intersects at IDR14,454. Further gains past Jul 3 high of IDR14,587 would please
bulls, exposing May 27 high of IDR14,780. Bears look for a drop below the
200-DMA/Jul 9 low at IDR14,380/14,355 before targeting Jun 26 low of IDR14,105.
- Heavy rains in Indonesia's South Sulawesi province caused a flash flood, which
killed at least 16 people.
- Indonesian trade figures hit the wires later today, with a monetary policy
decision from Bank Indonesia due tomorrow.
