DOLLAR-IDR: USD/IDR last sits at IDR14,178, little changed on the day. Bulls
look to take out Jun 23 high of IDR14,250, which would open the channel
top/200-DMA at IDR14,314/14,357. Bears need a fall through Jun 18 low of
IDR14,025 before targeting Jun 8 low of IDR13,873.
- Indonesian Pres Joko Widodo signed the revised $193bn 2020 budget, which
accommodates for increased fiscal spending due to the coronavirus crisis. The
gov't sees state spending at IDR2,739.2tn & revenue at IDR1,699.9, which would
generate a budget deficit of IDR1,039.2tn.
- The Governor of West Java, the country's most populous province, said that it
has prepared 209 projects worth IDR700tn.
- Indonesia is among countries where worry about the resurgence of Covid-19
continues to linger. The relaxation of social distancing rules has been followed
by an acceleration in new coronavirus cases..
- Meanwhile, BI extended shortened trading hours in bonds & FX markets (imposed
due to the coronavirus pandemic) until July 15.
- Indonesia's CPI & Markit M'fing PMI are due next Wednesday.
