USD/JPY Back's Away From Fresh Highs, As US Tsy Futures Unwind Earlier Dip

FOREX

USD/JPY has slipped away from fresh highs, last in the 140.45/50 region, versus the earlier high of 140.92. This has helped pull back the dollar indices back into negative territory for the session, the BBDXY last near 1245.

  • Cross asset moves have helped JPY at the margins. US Tsy futures are back to unchanged, unwinding the initial cheapening impetus post the debt ceiling deal (TYM3 last 112-12). US equity futures are also away from earlier highs, although more so Eminis (last 4226, +0.30%).
  • EUR/USD is up from session lows, last near 1.0735, GBP/USD is near 1.2360.
  • AUD continues to outperform, now up 0.40%, close to 0.6545 in the latest dealings. NZD/USD is also firmer, but still lagging the A$, this pair last 0.6065, +0.20%.
