DOLLAR-YEN: USD/JPY last seen at Y111.92, 17 pips better off, with the greenback
buoyant overnight.
- Bulls look to the upper Bollinger band (2%) at Y112.01 and a break above would
draw their attention to the YTD high of Y112.08. Meanwhile, bears eye Y111.72,
which has limited losses today, before shifting focus to the 100-HMA at Y111.49.
- Worth noting that $2.92bn worth of options with strikes of Y111.90-112.00
expire at today's 1000ET NY cut.
- Japanese focus this week turns to domestic GDP and BoP data (c/a balance &
trade balance) due Friday, as well as the usual BoJ Rinban ops. Elsewhere, BoJ's
Harada will speak on Wednesday.
