KOREAN WON: USD/KRW has added 5.40 fig. so far and trades at KRW1,235.20.
Nothing much in the way of local news to push the rate higher, so yesterday's
late doors risk-off reaction to reports re: failed trial of an experimental
coronavirus drug.
- During his daily briefing U.S. Pres Trump played down speculation that North
Korean leader's life is in danger, noting that he believes it is "incorrect". He
said that "I'm hearing they used old documents".
- Bulls look to take out Apr 21 high of KRW1,240.90 before attempting a move at
Apr 2 high of KRW1,242.55. Above there opens Mar 24 low of KRW1,249.65. Bears
look for a drop below the 50-DMA at KRW1,218.07, which would open up Apr 10/Mar
27 lows of KRW1,206.90/1,205.20.
- South Korea's docket for next week features consumer confidence (Tuesday),
Business Surveys & industrial output (Wednesday), as well as trade balance
(Friday).
