USD Marginally Pressured In Early Dealing

The greenback is under marginal pressure in early trade on Tuesday, however ranges do remain narrow with little follow through on moves.

  • Kiwi is the strongest performer in the G-10 space at the margins. NZD/USD has firmed above its 20-Day EMA ($0.6246) continuing the move seen in yesterday's NY session.
  • AUD is also firmer, printing at $0.6705/10 up ~0.1%. Resistance comes in at the 50-Day EMA ($0.6713), support is seen at low from May 12 ($0.6636). Westpac Consumer Confidence for May crosses shortly.
  • Yen is marginally firmer however a narrow 20 pip range has been observed and we sit a touch above ¥136 handle.
  • Cross asset wise; E-minis are a touch lower and US Treasury Yields are little changed across the curve.
  • The minutes from the May RBA meeting headlines in Asia. Further out we have preliminary Eurozone GDP and US Retail Sales, Industrial Production and Business Inventories
