MEXICAN PESO: USD/MXN last trades at MXN19.50 after peaking just ahead of
MXN19.60
- In light of the outlining of U.S. tariffs to be implemented on Mexico it is
worth highlighting the large net long positioning in the MXN, as outlined in the
CFTC CoT report (as of May 21). Long positioning is back from its recent peak,
but still stands at 53.94% of the open interest, with a net long position of
146,485 contracts. See link below.

- Japanese retail positioning is also long MXN, although this is also back from
the recent extremes (per the latest TFE data).
