USD/MYR has given away 80 pips in........>

DOLLAR-MYR: USD/MYR has given away 80 pips in today's quiet Asia-Pac session,
ahead of a monetary policy decision from the BNM, due in the Asia/Europe
crossover. The rate sits at MYR4.3085 at typing.
- PM Muhyiddin unveiled Malaysia's six-step plan to fight the coronavirus
crisis. The first step was restricting movement to curb virus transmission, the
second step was rolling out measures to support the economy, while the third
step was yesterday's partial re-opening of the economy. Remaining three steps
are enacting an economic recovery strategy, wider economic restart and, finally,
structural reforms to prepare the country for the "new normal".
- Elsewhere, Malaysian Trade Min Azmin Ali warned that states that refuse to
ease lockdown restrictions may be sued by the industry.
- A drop below Apr 30/1 lows of MYR4.2890/50 would support the bearish case,
turning the focus to Mar 27 low of MYR4.2470. Conversely, a break above the
50-DMA at MYR4.3164 would open up yesterday's high of MYR4.3495. Further gains
would expose Apr 28 high of MYR4.3733.
- Looking further ahead, Malaysia's industrial output comes out on Friday.
