MNI BRIEF: Mixed Euro Area GDP Growth Confirmed
Strong Spain growth in Q2 but Germany remains a a concern for ECB.

MNI (LONDON) - Euro area economic growth was 0.2% q/q, unrevised from the flash estimate, while year-on-year growth rose to 0.6% from 0.5% in Q1, data released by Eurostat on Friday showed, but Spain's solid performance helping compensate for sluggishness elsewhere in the bloc.
Spain saw growth of 2.9% y/y, but Germany was flat, with weakness across the Baltics and Finland.
The ECB is becoming more concerned about growth across the euro area, which could play into the policy decision when the Governing Council meets on Sept 12. (see MNI SOURCES: Growth Rises Up List Of ECB's Concerns)
