TURKISH LIRA: USD/TRY bumped up as the Turkish Foreign Ministry issued a
statement condemning U.S. Congress for giving the Defense Department an option
to purchase and store F-35 stealth jets originally commissioned by Turkey. The
U.S. has refused to finalise the transaction until Ankara gets rid of S-400
missiles bought from Russia.
- USD/TRY last seen at TRY5.9085, ~220 pips higher on the day. A break above the
Oct 14 high of TRY5.9384 would encourage bulls to target the psychological
TRY6.0 barrier. Bears look for a retreat below the 50-DMA at TRY5.7779.
