USDCAD Pulls Back But Maintains Post-FOMC Climb

  • USDCAD edges lower to 1.3465 but keeps well within the day’s wide range of 1.3358-1.3544 whilst still consolidating yesterday’s post-FOMC climb, firmly mid-pack on a day of significant moves for crosses.
  • Resistance levels have carried limited weight ever since the 1.32 breakout but that latest high of 1.3544 opens 1.3582 (2.00 proj of Aug 25 – Sep7-13 price swing).
  • In the event of a reversal of USD strength/equity weakness, initial firm support is seen at 1.3227 (Tuesday’s low).
