USDCLP Rises On Latest Presidential Poll, Broad Dollar Strength

  • CLP loses ground at the open following Gabriel Boric edging ahead in latest Cadem Presidential Poll. Broad dollar strength also fuelling the initial prints close to 780.
  • According to public opinion survey carried out by Cadem. Gabriel Boric gets 24% of voter intentions, up from 21% previously, Sebastian Sichel follows with 22% of support, down from 24% in prior poll.
    • Cadem interviewed 704 people Aug. 11-13; margin of error was plus or minus 3.7 percentage points.
    • For reference the first round of presidential election to be Nov. 21; runoff scheduled for December.
