YEN: USDJPY edged higher in Asia-Pacific trade, and challenged 107.00, as the
Nikkei added around 1.6%. It is worth noting that there is $1.5bln worth of
106.90-107.00 USDJPY option expiries rolling off at today's 10AM NY cut.
- From a technical perspective USDJPY bulls still need a close above the 55-DMA
(107.33), which represents the next key resistance level.
- AUDJPY was weighed on by the underperformance of the AUD, and last trades 15
pips or so lower at 82.20, while EURJPY edged higher to last trade at ~131.20.
- Broader risk sentiment will likely dominate JPY trade heading in to tomorrow's
US labour market report.
