USDJPY has been the talk overnight

  • The Dollar is on the front foot, and although it is closer to flat against most G10, overall the Greenback is deep in the green for the past 5 days, with the SEK and the CHF, the worst performers for that period, down 1.96% and 1.95% respectively.
  • Most of the talks in G10 overnight have been on the Yen, after USDJPY tested the next key area of interest noted at 151.91/151.95, printed a 151.97 high, highest level since 1990, following Dovish comments from BoJ Tamura.
  • Market participants will be cautious of intervention risks going forward at these decades high level.
  • For now, USDJPY is settling back to its traded mid range at 151.70.
