US TSYS SUMMARY: USTs have shed some of their recent gains in early trade
Thursday as equity futures pointed higher following Wednesday`s rout.
- Dec18 T-Note future trading flat at 118-195, low of 118-18.
- Tsys largely tracking equities, with S&P Emini future up 0.84% at 2686.50;
dollar a little weaker with DXY off 0.1% at 96.351.
- Cash curve trading mixed: 2-Yr yield up 1.6bps at 2.8467%, 5-Yr up 2.5bps at
2.9647%, 10-Yr up 2.3bps at 3.1261%, and 30-Yr up 1.9bps at 3.3496%.
- Earlier option flow focused on the downside, e.g. 50.0K (in total) of TYZ8
117.50/116.50 put spread blocked at 0.07, hearing buyer.
- Eurodollar futures fairly flat, though Dec18 stands out, up 1.0 ticks.
- Today`s data includes jobless claims as well as the durable goods new orders.
- At 1615GMT Fed Board of Governors Vice Chair Richard Clarida will be speaking
about the outlook for the US Economy and Monetary Policy with a Q&A to follow.
