Spot USD/IDR has been rangebound and last trades at IDR14,402, virtually unchanged on the day. A break above Mar 9 cycle high of IDR14,463 would reignite bullish momentum. On the flip side, a dip through Mar 12 low of IDR14,340 would draw attention to Mar 3 low of IDR14,243.

  • The Investor Daily reported that Indonesia's private vaccination scheme has attracted 11,543 firms already, with 7.4mn workers and their family members registered to take part. The gov't expects to receive over 20mn Moderna & Sinopharm vaccines this year for the private inoculation programme.
  • Meanwhile, Indonesia halted vaccinations with the AstraZeneca jab, pending assessment by the local food and drug regulator.
  • Trade Min Lufti pledged stable supply and prices of staple food ahead of Ramadan.
  • FinMin Indrawati, Social Affairs Min Rismaharini and National Disaster Mitigation Agency Chief Monardo will address a parliamentary commission on budget for disaster mitigation.
  • Bank Indonesia will deliver their MonPol decision on Thursday and virtually all analysts expect policymakers to leave the benchmark interest rate unchanged.
