Venture Global Secures Financing of Phase 2 of Plaquemines LNG

Venture Global has announced the final investment decision on phase 2 of Plaquemines LNG in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana.

• The initial phase of the Plaquemines LNG project is expected to begin production in 2024, with an export capacity of approximately 10mtpa.
• The second stage will boost the capacity to 20mtpa with total investment in the facility estimated at nearly $21 billion. The total project will consist of up to thirty-six 0.626mtpa liquefaction trains, up to three ship loading berths for 185k cubic meters LNG vessels and up to four 200k cubic meter LNG storage tanks.
• Long-term purchase agreements have been put in place with customers such as Exxon Mobil, Chevron, China Gas, EnBW and Excelerate Energy.
