GILT SUMMARY: Very little movement in Gilts to open the week, unsurprising
considering the U.S. market holiday and a paucity of data/speakers.
- The Mar 20 Gilt future is down 8 ticks at 133.37, having traded in a range of
133.24-133.73 today. The 2-Yr yield is up 0.2bps at 0.42%, 5-Yr is up 0.8bps at
0.424%, 10-Yr is up 0.9bps at 0.641%, and 30-Yr is up 1.8bps at 1.178%.
- Couple of announcements from the DMO: Stg250mln tender operation for the
0.125% Aug-48 linker will be held on 23 Jan, while the 0.125% Aug-28 linker sale
has been moved to 5 March from 12 March.
- The DMO has also sent a syndication tender for the upcoming Sukuk issuance.
- Employment data out Tues morning; BoE's Carney speaking at Davos in the p.m.
