MARKET TALK
MARKET TALK: Very little of note to cover in early Asia-Pac trade, with little
reaction to the latest political developments in the U.S. (polls affirming
President Trump's political struggles) and the hawkish rhetoric from U.S.
Secretary of State Pompeo re: China (flagged in NY hours).
- E-minis edging higher, but still well shy of Thursday's peaks.
- Little of note on the Asia-Pac docket, with focus on the potential for China
to close one of the U.S. consulates on Chinese soil, whether that be on the
mainland or in Hong Kong/Macau (see earlier bullet for details). Further afield,
flash PMI data from across the globe will draw the most interest on Friday,
alongside the ongoing U.S. fiscal developments.
