Vietnamese Refining at Full Tilt to Supply Domestic Market

Vietnams Nghi Son Refinery, the largest in the country, will run at full capacity in Q4 to counter fuel shortages in the country.

  • "Recently, the fuel supply from abroad to Vietnam has faced many difficulties that have possibly led to shortage of petroleum products at some petrol agents and retail gas stations," the refiner said.
  • Binh Son, the countries other refiner, said they were operating at 109% of designed capacity last week to keep the domestic market supplied.
  • The country has suffered from soaring prices causing payment issues for oil product importers in the country.
