VIEW: Goldman Slightly Pull Forward BoK Tightening Exp.

BOK

Goldman Sachs note that “given recent changes in macro backdrops, we now expect the Bank of Korea to deliver two 25bp hikes for the remainder of this year to reach 2.0% at end-2022, from only one hike before. While we do not rule out a 25bp hike in the next MPC meeting in late May, a July hike is still more likely, followed by another 25bp hike in October. We also keep our terminal rate forecast at 2.5% although we bring forward the timing of reaching the terminal rate to Q223 from Q3 before.”
