UK: / VIEW: Nomura have revised there interest rate forecast and now expect the
BoE, having hiked in November, to then hike very 6-months until end of 2019.
- "With rates at 1.50% at this stage we expect it to start reducing the size of
its balance sheet and slowing the pace of hiking to one 25bp every nine months.
This gives us a terminal rate of 2.50% in five years' time", Add Nomura.
- Nomura say that when the stock of QE is reduced the 7-15-yr sector of the
yield curve should be "hardest hit".
