EURO-STERLING: Volatile session Tuesday in the cross as rate dropped back from a
high of Gbp0.8937 to a low of Gbp0.8776 before it recovered to Gbp0.8920 before
it settled around Gbp0.8900 into the close. Negative UK political press reports
softened sterling in Asia, took cross to an early high of Gbp0.8916 before it
settled around Gbp0.8910 through a fairly subdued session. Rate continues to
respect its 10-dma 1.0% envelope, made a show outside of its base Tuesday of
Gbp0.8880, as it hit Gbp0.8876, but recovered back inside. The base currently
comes through at Gbp0.8872. Resistance remains at Gbp0.8920. Brexit headlines
remain key driver in sterling pairs.
