Voters Continue To Rate GOP More Favourably Than Democrats On Economy

US

A new surveyfrom CNN has found that voters say, “their views on the economy align more closely with the Republican Party than with the Democratic Party.”

  • According to CNN: “A 71% majority of Americans rate economic conditions in the country as poor, with 38% calling them very poor. That marks an improvement from the summer of 2022, when 82% saw the economy as poor, but remains far worse than Americans’ pre-pandemic assessments of the economy.”
  • A new AP pollfinds that, "Democratic views on how President Joe Biden is handling the decades-old conflict between Israelis and Palestinians have rebounded slightly," easing some pressure on Biden following a dip in support in response to his handling of the conlict.
  • According to AP: "The shift occurred during a time in which Biden and top U.S. officials expressed increased concern about civilian casualties in the Gaza Strip, emphasized the need for a future independent Palestinian state and helped secure the release of hostages held by Hamas during a temporary truce."
