  • Japan's core machinery orders, excluding those for power generation equipment and ships, rose 2.1% m/m in June, picking up from last 3.2% fall, posting the first monthly rise in three months.
  • Orders from manufacturing sectors, decreased 0.3% m/m, falling from the increase of 1.0% m/m made in May.
  • Orders from the non-manufacturing sector, rose 2.4% m/m, largely up from the previous 7.5% m/m drop.
  • The outlook for the July-September period is for an increase of 0.2%, compared with the 0.1% decrease over the previous quarter.
