Weaker But Off Session Lows

EQUITIES

Stock indices / futures are weaker Thursday but up from session lows.

  • Asian markets closed weaker, with Japan's NIKKEI down 156.16 pts or -0.67% at 23319.37 and the TOPIX down 5.95 pts or -0.36% at 1638.4. China's SHANGHAI closed down 13.489 pts or -0.41% at 3270.435 and the HANG SENG ended 384.78 pts lower or -1.56% at 24340.85
  • European stocks are lower, with the German Dax down 81.24 pts or -0.61% at 13174.36, FTSE 100 down 47.11 pts or -0.78% at 6031.9, CAC 40 down 42.58 pts or -0.84% at 5031.84 and Euro Stoxx 50 down 26.96 pts or -0.81% at 3311.88.
  • U.S. futures are down, with the Dow Jones mini down 248 pts or -0.88% at 27806, S&P 500 mini down 37 pts or -1.09% at 3352.5, NASDAQ mini down 141.25 pts or -1.25% at 11127.5.
