Week Ahead Data - China 1-Year MLF, Monthly Activity Figures In Focus

The week ahead sees China 1-Year MLF and the monthly economic activity data cross today.

  • China - China 1-Year MLF cross today no change is expected to the facility rate. The facility volume is expected to drop to 125.0bn yuan. Also due today is June Industrial Production (10.8% Y/Y), Retail Sales (2.5% Y/Y), Fix Assets Rural (3.4% Y/Y) and Property Investment (-7.5% Y/Y) as well as Surveyed Jobless Rate (5.2%) will cross. On Thursday 1- and 5-Year Loan Prime Rates cross, no change is expected with 1-Year holding steady at 3.55% and the 5-Year at 4.20%.
  • South Korea - The data calendar is empty until Friday, June PPI and July Terms of Trade are due. There is no estimate for either print.
  • Taiwan - The only data of note this week is June Export Orders, a fall of 19.5% is expected.
  • Singapore - On the wires today we have June Export data. A fall in Non-Oil Exports of 3.6% M/M is expected, Electronics Exports also cross however there is no estimate.
  • Philippines - June Balance of Payments is due to cross at some stage this week, the prior read was -$439mn and there is no estimate.
  • Malaysia - June Trade Balance on Thursday is the only release on the docket this week. A surplus of MYR18.75bn is expected
  • Indonesia - June Trade Balance is due today, a surplus of $1.1131bn is forecast. The data calendar is empty for the remainder of the week.
