Week Ahead Data - China's 1-Yr MLF, Q3 GDP & Sep Activity Figures Headline

Data from China headlines the Asian docket this week, we also have the latest monetary policy decision from the BOK.

  • China - Due today we have the 1-Year MLF due, the rate is expected to be held steady at 2.50% and the amount to tick lower to 590.0bn. On Wednesday Q3 GDP crosses and we also have the September Economic Activity Data due. Further out September New Home Prices crosses on Thursday and 1- and 5-Year LPR is due on Friday.
  • South Korea - The highlight of this week's docket is the latest monetary policy decision from the BOK. No change to policy is expected. Otherwise the docket is light with just September Terms of Trade and August Money Supply, both tomorrow, due.
  • Taiwan - September Export Orders, due on Friday, is the only data of note this week.
  • Singapore - Due tomorrow we have September Non-oil Domestic Exports and Electronic Exports, further out the docket is empty.
  • India - On the wires today we have September Wholesale Prices, a rise of 0.38% Y/Y is expected. The data docket is empty for the remainder of the week.
  • Indonesia - On Thursday we have the latest monetary policy decision from Bank Indonesia, there is no change expected to policy. September Trade Balance crosses today.
  • Thailand - The only data of note is Friday's Weekly Foreign Reserves release.
  • Malaysia - September CPI provides the highlight this week, CPI is expected to tick higher to 2.1% Y/Y from 2.0%. Also on the wires we have September Trade Balance on Thursday.
  • Philippines - August Overseas Remittances is due today, a rise of 2.8% Y/Y is expected. On Thursday September Balance of Payments rounds off the docket.
