The latest round of weekly Japanese international security flow data revealed the first round of weekly net purchases of Japanese bonds by foreign investors in 3 weeks (Y903.0bn), although the 4-week rolling sum of the measure still resides in negative territory. Foreigners also flipped to net buying of Japanese stocks (Y530.9bn), this ended a run of 3 straight weeks of net sales, although once again, the 4-week rolling sum of the measure remains in negative territory. Meanwhile, Japanese investors remained marginal net sellers of both foreign bonds and equities.
