Tsys trading weaker again - reversing earlier gap bid sparked by comments from

BOE Deputy Governor Broadbent (implied that risks to market rates are to

the downside while also noting that if rates rose in line with market

pricing, GDP would be around 4.5ppt by the end of 2025). Someone panicked on move w/ Block +5,000 TYZ2 at 110-06, a tick over overnight high of 110-05, trades 109-28.5 now (-3.5).

  • Meanwhile, Weekly claims kicks off US data at 0830ET (prior, est): Initial Jobless Claims (228k, 230k); Continuing Claims (1.368M, 1.380M); Philadelphia Fed Business Outlook (-9.9, -5.0). Existing Home Sales (4.8M, 4.69M); MoM (-0.4%, -2.2%) and Leading Index (-0.3%, -0.3%) at 1000ET.
  • US Tsy auctions: US Tsy $65B 4W, $55B 8W bill auctions at 1130ET; $21B 5Y TIPS auction (91282CFR7) at 1300ET.
  • Fed Speakers kick off with Philly Fed Harker's economic outlook (text, Q&A) at 1200ET; Fed Gov Jefferson moderated Q&A at 1330ET; Fed Gov Cook moderated Q&A at 1335ET; Fed Gov Bowman open remarks at community development event at 1400ET. Reminder, Fed enters media blackout midnight Friday.
