What to Watch: Tsys Bounce Ahead Data Flurry, 2Y Sale

  • US rates firmer after marking new lows for the month overnight (TYZ3 108-00.5), 10Y yield off new 16Y high of 4.5620% at 4.4948% at the moment. Tsys followed Bund lead after slightly larger than expected German supply reduction annc (DFA). Curves scaling back portion of Mon's steepening: 3M10Y -2.536 at -97.546 at the moment, 2Y10Y -3.223 at -62.804.
  • Flurry of morning data kicks off with Philadelphia Fed Non-Mfg Activity at 0830ET, FHFA House Price Index and S&P CoreLogic data at 0900, New Home Sales, Consumer Confidence and Richmond Fed Mfg. Index at 1000ET followed by Dallas Fed Services Activity at 1030ET.
  • Lone scheduled Fed speaker so far: Fed Gov Bowman welcome remarks, text, no QA at 1330ET.
  • US Treasury supply: $60B 42D bill CMB auction at 1130ET, followed by $48B 2Y note auction (91282CJB8) at 1300ET.
  • Headline watching: any development on US government funding ahead potential shutdown on October 1.
