WHO Recommends Against Vaccine Proof For Travel

Earlier today the World Health Organisation's (WHO's) Emergency Committee issued a statement advising against the requirement of proof of vaccination against COVID-19 in order to travel internationally, stating that it risks deepening "inequities and promotes unequal freedom of movement".

  • The WHO's calls are likely to fall on deaf ears, though, with rapid COVID-19 vaccine rollouts in some countries combined with spikes in cases and new variants of the virus emerging in others likely to result in some form of vaccine passport being implemented by some gov'ts in the coming months.
