STOCKS: With China & Japan out on holiday, focus fell on Australia's ASX 200 &
Hong Kong's Hang Seng.
- The former trades 0.6% worse off, taking its lead from the U.S. equity indices
post-FOMC, with the financial sector leading the way lower after NAB's quarterly
earnings report. As a reminder, the sector outperformed on Wednesday on the back
of ANZ's earnings report.
- The Hang Seng trades ~0.4% higher at writing, as traders return from the
Labour Day holiday. Psychological resistance is noted at 30,000.
- U.S. equity index futures are marginally higher at writing
- S&P 500 futures +1, DJIA futures +6, NASDAQ 100 futures +7.
