EURO-DOLLAR: With Japan out today traders reported of extremely light volumes
overnight. Eur/Usd rejected a break of $1.2000 to consolidate between
$1.1980-96. If the pair can reclaim the $1.20 handle, offers are reported
through $1.2010/20 which also holds key resistance from the 200-dma at $1.2018.
Main focus turns to the release of US Non-Farm Payrolls today at 1230GMT.
Nonfarm payrolls are forecast to rise by 185,000 in April after a much
weaker-than-expected 103,000 rise in March and a strong 326,000 rise in
February. The unemployment rate is expected to fall to 4.0% after holding steady
at 4.1% in recent months. Hourly earnings are forecast to rise 0.2% after a 0.3%
gain, while the average workweek is expected to hold steady at 34.5 hours for
another month. Eur/Usd breaks the narrow range at typing, last $1.1978.
