WSJ-Doha JCPoA 'Talks Not Very Positive'

  • Comes as Iranian FM spox Naser Kanani tweets: "Talks in Doha were scheduled from the beginning of the two-day campaign, and during consultations yesterday and today the parties exchanged suggestions and views on the remaining issues. The two-day Doha talks are taking place in a professional and serious atmosphere."
  • Following a raising of expectations last week following trip by EU Foreign Affairs rep Josep Borrell to Tehran, these meetings so far appear to have achieved little-to-no progress on reaching an agreement on sanctions (the primary hurdle, with agreements on nuclear issues believed to be resolved).
