WTI Open Interest Continues to Rise

Crude oil open interest continues to trend higher with Brent recovering from a dip at the start of the month and WTI the highest since March 2022.

  • ICE Brent aggregate open interest is up to 2.205m from 2.14m in early April but is still below the peak of 2.28m in late March.
  • Nymex WTI open interest has seen a gradual increase since the start of March rising from 1.75m to 1.924m.
  • ICE Gasoil and Nymex RBOB open interest are both largely unchanged since the start of March.
