Yellen To Make Clear U.S. Doesn’t Seek Weak Dollar (WSJ)


A quick reminder that U.S. President-elect Biden's nominee to become the next U.S. Treasury Secretary, Janet Yellen, will appear in front of the Senate Finance Committee on Tuesday. A recent WSJ source piece has suggested that Yellen is expected "to affirm the U.S.'s commitment to market-determined exchange rates when she testifies on Capitol Hill Tuesday, and she will make clear the U.S. doesn't seek a weaker dollar for competitive advantage," per Biden transition officials familiar with her hearing preparation.
