Yen Firms On BoJ Ueda & Japan PM Meeting Headlines

USD/JPY has had a blip lower in recent dealings, the pair last near 145.85/90. This is around 0.25% firmer in yen terms compared with closing levels from NY on Monday. Headlines have crossed that BoJ Governor Ueda will meet with Japan PM Kishida today. It remains to be seen what comes of the meeting, such meetings do happen between BoJ Governors and Japan Prime Ministers.

  • Earlier highs in USD/JPY were around the 146.40 level, while yesterday's low came in near 145.15.
