Zloty Advances, Unemployment Falls In Line With Expectations

EUR/PLN remains under pressure as CE3 currencies outperform in the EMEA space. The rate has shed 81 pips and last changes hands at PLN4.5885, struggling to test yesterday's low of PLN4.5840. Bearish focus falls on Jun 9, 2022 low of PLN4.5781, while bulls eye the 20-EMA at PLN4.6364 for initial resistance.

  • POLGBs have reversed their initial gains and last trade slightly weaker across the curve. The WIG20 index is little changed on the day.
  • Poland's unemployment rate fell to 5.4% last month from 5.5% prior, matching the median estimate in a Bloomberg poll.
  • Development Minister Waldemar Buda told Radio Zet that "it's absolutely impossible" for Poland to lift its ban on Ukrainian grain imports in June.
