Wednesday throws up a day with largely sentiment data for markets to digest, with consumer and corporate surveys due for release.

German sentiment is expected to fall further in May, extending a decline that saw the headline number decline to -15.5 in April. Particular attention will be paid to consumers view of the personal financial outlook.

Swedish data a late guide for Riksbank (0700BST)

Sweden's latest unemployment and factory gate inflation is a late look at economic data before Thursday's now live policy meeting, with some observers seeing a chance the hiking cycle from 0% could see the policy rate hiked from the April meeting.

French Consumer Sentiment seen steadying (0700BST)

Consumer sentiment slumped in March, dropping to 91 from 98 in February, weighed by the impact of the war in Ukraine, the cost of living and the unease ahead of the French election. Analysts expect sentiment to edge higher, with April expected at 92.

UK CBI Distributive Trades outlook seen lower (1100BST)

UK retail sales are seen sharply lower in April, with the Retail Index falling from +9 last month to -2. Total distributive trades are seen declining from 20 to 11.
