10Y Yield Back To Early May Lows

  • Despite the positive surprise in inflation in recent months (with CPI inflation rising by 2.5ppt since January), it seems that participants rushed to buy more Mexican LT bonds when the 10y yield reached 7% in the middle of May.
  • The 10y Yield broke below its 50D SMA (6.75%) yesterday and is currently testing the 6.70% level, erasing all the upside move seen earlier this month.
  • Next supports to watch on the downside stand at 6.60%, followed by 6.40%.On the topside, key resistance remains at 7%.
