AUSSIE: A soft start to the new week for the antipodean, the rate easing from
$0.7658 to $0.7644. The main focus today is on Australia's mid-year budget
update, Westpac expects a reduced 2017-18 budget deficit estimate of $27bn
compared to the previous estimate of $29.4bn. They add, this largely relates to
the uplift in nominal GDP growth due to the boost from commodity prices. Support
is seen at $0.7621 (38.2% fib $0.7502-$0.7695), while resistance continues to be
found near to the 200-dma ($0.7693). Aussie was last at $0.7645.
